Join us for our Open House and Plant Sale

You’re invited to the Central Park Gardens 4th Annual Open House and Plant Sale on Saturday, October 30th from 9:00 am to noon in Davis Central Park. Help us celebrate the unveiling of a glorious new 8-foot long monarch caterpillar sculpture located at the north end of the garden.  We hope you’ll come meet the artists Solomon Bassoff and Domenica Mottarella and participate in our sculpture naming contest.

Enjoy fall in the garden with us and celebrate the beginning of our best planting season.  A stroll through the gardens will reward you with great eco-friendly gardening information from Yolo County Master Gardeners and City of Davis natural pest control experts.  Free wildflower seeds will be available for all, and a plant sale of fall vegetables, flowers, herbs, and natives will raise much needed funds to benefit garden maintenance.

Central Park will be hopping on October 30th with lots of great food and fun family activities at the Davis Farmers Market Fall Festival.  Be sure to check out the Avenue of the Scarecrows, an auction of fantastic scarecrows created by schoolchildren to benefit Davis school gardens.
