The sports court renovation project continues to proceed and is still projected to conclude by mid-November.  Courts will be poured this weekend and next week.  The courts then need 2 – 4 weeks to cure (basketball and bike polo courts need 4 weeks) before the coloring and lines can be applied. 
 
I have been in contact with the school district and they have approved the use of Emerson Jr. High School courts for PB and tennis use during school hours until the renovation project is completed.  In addition, they will allow pickleball lines to be spray chalked on the courts. I had the City parks crews clean up the courts this week and they are now ready for tennis and pickleball play.  The Emerson tennis courts can be accessed from Humboldt Ave. 
 
In addition, the Pioneer tennis courts were cleaned this week as well and I will allow Pioneer Tennis Courts to be spray chalked with PB lines as well until the project is completed.
