14-Silver

Match #1 – This was a very intense game with both teams exhibiting skills that were very similar.  With a line-up that was a little different for the first game, all players responded with solid playing most of the time.  Emma had a great game with 7 aces, 2 kills. There was strong leadership from Shelby.  Match #2 – With one game behind them and a more familiar line-up 14-Silver came out strong against a young but scrappy Crush in both games.  There was strong setting from Avalon, Antonia, and Shelby in both games.  Nyssa chalked up three kills and tough serving from the back line.  After this win 14-Silver took first in its pool to compete during bracket play.  Match #3 – Crush was once again scrappy and determined, but 14-Silver was able to come out ahead thanks to the serving of Antonia, Emma and Stephanie.  Antonia put down 7 kills in two games.  Kara, Avalon, and Jenny put up a fight as they came off the bench.  Match #4 – The competition for this match was a little more equal which was shown through the rallies and side out plays from both teams.  Emma served up 10 aces, and showed great leadership.  Carly and Jenny had a unique presence on the floor and meshed well when put on the court. Hatley and Stephanie possessed great net play in the way of blocks and sweeps along the net.
