Power League #2 Results

The team lacked consistency on the court. Cons, we were unable to keep our momentum going, one play we will look like an all-star team, the next play we didn't look so good. All in all we lack consistency which will slowly come in the tournaments to come. Pro's. Sara Morand did an awesome job of putting balls down coming back from a wrist injury, Kayla Birt had great intensity on the court and did a fantastic job in the last game, Jovonna did a good job of playing Libero without any practice, and Mallory Emerson looked great as it was her first tournament since the end of high school season. I am looking forward to Spokane where I believe Spokane will be the turning point of our season.

Started at the bottom of DUSK, won all their matches (except the last one) to finish 2nd - which moves us up to COPPER for Power League #3. The team worked together like I have never seen them. No problems with the setter - she cheerfully set the entire day, letting our libero and outside hitter focus on their regular duties instead of setting half the time.

The players demonstrated their drive to push forward. The girls as a whole played extremely well and proved once again that we deserve to move up to the next bracket. Some players that need to be addressed this weekend are Freddie Schmitendorf, Erica Peters, and Rhiannon Snoen. In the final game against M-Power Erica Peters served 12 points in a row which game us a huge lead. Freddie and Rhiannon stepped it up for our team when we needed them most. Rhiannon served two of the game winning points and Freddie played great defense in the middle back position. Overall the whole team played exceptionally well. Even though they were tired and in desperate need of food, they found it within them to push through the pain and play their very hardest. It paid off and we are moving up once again.
