Power League #3 Results
18-Gold
Had our 3rd power league in Alameda. Due to illness several players were unable to play. However with the players that we had, I believe we did a great job at the tournament. Kayla Birt stepped in to set and did an awesome job considering she hasn't set a game the whole year, Jenny Woods stepped in as the opposite and was putting balls down, and Jovonna Gonzalez did a great job being consistent on the court. We were off to a slow start in the beginning of the day, however as the day progressed, each game was better and better. Hopefully this will be a good lead off to Anaheim, which will be an exciting tournament for both the players and I.

Briana Mason had an outstanding day - the placement of her sets has become very accurate. Hailey Gregor did a great job as an outside hitter. Her 23 inch vertical jump gave her quite an edge over the competition (highest on the team, as measured last week at practice!) I was proud of the girls, many coming back from Spring Break vacations, as they played hard and solid all day.

Played their very best volleyball so far this season. The team
overall was a defensive machine. The team had 134 digs with
Hilary Parsons with 26, Teaghan Phillips 25, Erica Peters 24,
Jolie Law 22, Laura Turold 21, and Caroline Peters with 16. The
team also had incredible offensive with 68 kills. Freddie
Schmitendorf with 20 kills, Hilary Parsons with 18 and Rhiannon Snoen
with 15 kills. And last but definitely not least, serving was the
deciding factor in our successful weekend. We had 88% of our
serves go over and in, and 34% of our serves were aces. We are moving
up to the next division again!! We are very proud of all the
girls and are so excited that the team is playing so well
together.
