The DVBC 14-2s played in their third league match on Sunday, April 13th at Highlands High School. The team placed second in their pool by beating Westslope 14-2s ( (25-23, 25-12). This was the best match played by the team this season, with great defensive and net play by all. In bracket play, the team lost a very competitive second game to NorCal Select 14-4s (23-25) to move into the playoff game for 7th/8th place. They lost a close match (24-26, 19-25) to NorCal Select 14-3s to finish 8th out of 12th - their best finish this season!

 

Caitlin Larimore (100%), Fatuma-Ayaan Ali-Rinderkrecht (88%), and Rebecca Seaberry (81%) had the team high serving percentages. Julia Rodman, serving for the first time this season due to a wrist injury, came in at 68%.  Caitlin and Nicole Desideri led with team high serve receive percentages of 67. Katie Sullivan and Melena DeLeon also had passing percentages over 50%. Next for the 14-2s is League Match #4 on May 17th, location TBA.
