Pacific Northwest Qualifier Results
Results from the Spokane Tournament, March 28-30, 2008
17-1
The Pacific Northwest Qualifier was a very challenging tournament
for the 17-1 team. Day 1 consisted of pool play. The
17-1 team was seated 4th in their pool, playing tough teams from
all over the country. They lost their first match vs.
Colorado Juniors in 2 games. The team then played WVBA,
losing in 2 games. Their final match for the day was
against NCWVBC. Although this match was the best of the
day, the team couldn’t seem to figure out its offense and lost
again in 2 games.
Day 2 presented the same challenges. The team lost its first
match vs. KJVBC in 2 games. This was followed by another
loss against Sport City. The final match of the second day
vs. Sudden Impact was the team’s best match all weekend. If
it wasn’t for Sudden Impact’s run of points early on in the
second game, Davis would have taken that match to 3 games.
However, they ended up losing in 2 games.
Day 3 was a much shorter day, consisting of single elimination
bracket play. The Davis team was matched up against Delta
Valley 17-1. Although the team seemed to come out fired up
and
ready to play, they couldn’t get their offense together and again
lost in 2 games.
