We will strive to keep this site up-to-date with future concert dates, fundraising events, band booster meetings, deadlines for band students, links to forms, and answers to frequently asked questions.
2015 Calendar (as of October 8th, 2015)
9th grade trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo
The big 9th grade trip to Six Flags is almost here! The trip is scheduled for Friday, May 15th, and includes a performance by the 9th grade band during the park's opening ceremonies. On this day, students need to be at school by 8:00 AM, with the bus leaving at 8:30 AM. Return time to Emerson/DaVinci will be approximately 7:00 PM. Lunch at the park will be provided to the students.
Although donations are greatly appreciated to defray the cost of this trip, all 9th grade band members may attend regardless of whether their families donate or not. Suggested donations of $50/student will help offset the cost of the bus, park ticket, large instrument transport, parking, and tickets provided to the chaperones. A donation above $50 can help to ensure that expenses are covered, so that all eligible students can go. Although not required, chaperones are welcome to donate $28 for the ticket cost.
If you can chaperone, please email Laura Van Winkle at email@example.com. Chaperones are selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cell phones are encouraged for all students. Please provide cell phone information in the form below, which should be turned in to Mr. Quick by April 17th. Donations can also accompany this form, as well as chaperone information.

Thanks to all who contributed to the February 3rd Bake Sale for the Elementary Side-by-Side Concert
This bake sale generated over $100.00 in sales. Thanks to all who helped out and contributed.
Rummage Sale, Bake Sale and Tea Letter Results
The October 18th bake sale and rummage sale was a great success, raising ~$1400. The January 7th Winter Concert bake sale raised ~$250. The Tea Letter raised $300. 100% of the proceeds go to provide resources and support to the Emerson and DaVinci Band program. Thank you to all who helped and contributed!
Band Concert Clothing Exchange
Suzette Smiley-Jewell led the Clothing Exchange back in November/December. 40 items of clothing (out of 50) were purchased through the Exchange at All Things Right & Relevant. The sale made $62 for the Fred Lange Scholarship (which provides some money for lessons for students who change to an instrument required for the DHS Band). Many thanks to Suzette and those who helped out and participated.
