It is that time of year where we need to pause and reflect upon the exceptional faculty at Emerson Junior High School.  Please let us know who you or your student would like to see recognized this year!

 

The Hal Reid Memorial Award for teaching excellence nomination forms are ready and waiting for you. You can obtain a nomination form from the link below (under "Related Item(s)" or at the school office.

 

Please return your completed nomination form by Friday, April 21, 2017.  You can email your completed nomination form to d.m.ewey@comcast.net, drop it by the school office, or place it in the mail addressed to Emerson PTA (use the school address). 

 

This annual award is presented to a member of the Emerson faculty who displays the following qualities:

1.    Demonstrates strong commitment to the school.
2.    Demonstrates excellence in teaching.
3.    Demonstrates caring and concern for students.
4.    Demonstrates commitment and leadership over and above what is required.
5.    Communicates effectively with parents and colleagues.

 

To be eligible, nominees must have worked at the school for three years and may not have received it during the past five years.
