Harper Band Schedule for 2008-09
This schedule was updated on October 27, 2008
All Concerts and events will be held at the IPAB
(Instructional Performing Arts Building) at Davis Senior High School,
unless otherwise noted below. Call time for
all concerts is 20-30 minutes before the
"down-beat".
November 17 (Monday), Time TBA; 9th Grade Field trip to see the DHS Symphonic Band Concert for Jr. High Students
December 9 (Tuesday), 7:00 pm; Harper Winter Concert. Arrive between 6:30 and 6:45. Harper Concert and Advanced Bands will perform with the Harper Chorus. Concert attire as described in the Harper Band Handbook.
March 8 (Sunday), 12 noon Jazz Band plays at Arts Festival - Davis Art Center
March 28 (Saturday), all day; Davis Junior High Band Festival. 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. This is a district-wide adjudicated Bands Festival. Concert attire. Parents, please be generous with your time and volunteer for this fun and rewarding musical experience for your student.
March 31 (Tuesday), Jazz Band plays at Harper Open House
April 21 (Tuesday), 7:00 PM; Secondary concert This involves Advanced Band only. We are on the same bill with the advanced bands from Holmes and Emerson. Also playing will be the Symphonic Band from Davis High School. All schools combine for the final piece. Concert attire.
May 2 (Saturday), all day; Field Trip; Music in the Park. Harper Bands will perform in Vacaville then go to Six Flags Amusement Park
May 13
(Wednesday), 7 PM; Spring concert
May 19 (Tuesday), 7:30 PM. Secondary/elementary concert - Intermediate band only. Concert attire.
May 20 (Wednesday), Time TBA; Harper Concert and Advanced Bands will perform with the Harper Chorus. Concert attire.
