There's still time to get in on the action! The deadline for the Street Smarts "Focus on Safety" video contest for students in grades 7 through 9 has been extended to Friday, April 4. Learn from the pros with Davis Media Access' free drop-in video production workshops to prepare 60-second or shorter video public safety announcements Wednesday, Feb. 27 and/or Thursday, Feb. 28 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Blanchard Room of the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St., in Davis.
 
The "Focus on Safety" Awards Ceremony has been moved to Saturday, April 12 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Varsity Theatre. All entries will be shown on the big screen at the ceremony. Prizes for the winners include digital photo cameras and $50 Target gift certificates.
