Bike Scanning is coming to Patwin!

Parent Volunteers Needed!

As you may have seen or heard, all the other Davis elementary schools have a bike/walk scanning program called Active4.me. We are now ready to join them as well! This is a great program to encourage our kids to ride or walk to school. The program allows for parent notifications (email, text or phone) to be sent once your kids reach school and are scanned in. In addition, the kids will be logging miles and be rewarded for them.

The equipment is all set up, and all we need is YOU, volunteers. You may volunteer as little as one day a week or as often as five days a week. We need volunteers Monday through Friday, 8:10-8:30 AM. No technical equipment or knowledge is needed. Once we get five (5) volunteers, we will hold a volunteer training session and decide on a kick-off date. We would like to kick off this program in early October.

Please email Esther Chen (estlee@gmail.com) if you’re able to help, and please note in the email whether you have an iPhone or iPad that you’re willing to use to help with the scanning (absolutely not required).
