Keep Saving BOX TOPS Over the Summer!
Please continue to clip and save Box Tops all summer long. We’ll have lots of great prizes and incentives next year as well, and kids will want to have a head start when our October deadline approaches. Our school made nearly $1,000 in CASH this year by turning in 10-cent coupons; with a little push, we can easily earn twice as much in 2010-11. Extra blank entries are available in the office lobby or you may download and print your own by clicking here:http://groups.dcn.org/pioneerpta/boxtops (You’ll also find a full list of participating products and a printable friend and neighbor invite at this link.)
REMEMBER: Each sheet must contain $1 worth of Box Tops in order to
be eligible, and MUST have the student information section in the lower
left corner filled out completely.
And speaking of earnings, be sure to keep you eye open for two
opportunities to make extra cash for Pioneer this summer:
-- Starting August 11, Safeway stores
will feature specially marked General Mills cereals that will feature
two Bonus Box Tops and a chance to win 10,000 extra Box Tops
instantly.
-- From August 11 through September
14, look for School Bus tags on hundreds of grocery
items at Safeway stores. If you’re signed up for eScrip and if you use
your Safeway customer loyalty card, Pioneer can automatically earn a 10
percent rebate on each eligible purchase. Click here for details and to
enter into a drawing for 1,000 Bonus Box Tops: http://www.2ways2earn.com/. And if
you’re not already registered for eScrip, it’s a very easy and
completely free way to earn cash for our school. Just visit http://www.escrip.com/.Signing up only
takes a minute or two and will result in automatic payments to Pioneer
all year long.
Thanks so much for your ongoing support of the Box Tops program at
Pioneer, and have a great summer!

Important Info Regarding eScrip and Nugget Scrip Programs:
If you haven't done this yet, please register your Safeway Club Card number on ESCRIP.COM asap! By doing this, every time you shop and swipe your club card, Pioneer will earn 3% of your grocery receipts!
OR, if you shop at Nugget, please consider using a Nugget Scrip Card, which works like a re-loadable debit card. Nugget donates 3% of your purchases if you use this method of payment. You can get the application at either the Pioneer office or at any Nugget checkout counter.
Both of these programs add up to a lot of income for Pioneer!
If you need help, please call or email Patty Spring any time: p-spring@pacbell.net / 902-2416.
Thank you.
Charitable Donations - Help our school and yourself!

Pioneer PTA Listserve
This will begin our 5th year using the Pioneer Weekly E-Newsletter – a weekly email about events and information related to Pioneer PTA and Pioneer Elementary. Many families have found this a valuable way to receive information about what is happening at Pioneer Elementary. In the past, the e-newsletter has been used to get information out quickly to parents/guardians.
This is not a discussion listserve! Links to the Pioneer Press and other information on the Pioneer PTA website can also be found in the weekly e-newsletter.
You must be a parent or guardian of a Pioneer Student to sign-up for the listserve. Please return the form sent home with the first day of school packet, or sign-up HERE ONLINE and make sure to list your name so we can confirm that you are a Pioneer parent or guardian. Thank you.
Got Suggestions? News?
