President
Overview of role
The president serves as the lead for the entire SIPAT board & CCE community at large, as representative of parents on our campus & of our school at the district level.
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Attend SIPAT Board meetings (monthly)
- Schedule meetings/notify members (Board & school) of meeting
- Write agenda/submit for publication in newsletter one week in advance of meeting (1/2 with VP)
- Conduct monthly Board meeting (1/2 with VP)
- Attend some of the teacher/staff meetings (by direction of Principal)
- Assist the Principal in managing parent/teacher relations
- Assist Nominating Committee in recruitment for Board positions
- Assist recruiting volunteers for coordinator positions
- Verify with treasurer submission of payment for membership & insurance premium to State PTA (prior to 1/31/07 through channels)
- Serve as co-signatory for all outgoing funds with treasurer within budget
- Monitor other board & coordinator activities
