Mark your calendars and pack up the family for an evening of good food, games and fun exchange! César Chávez, Marguerite Montgomery and Emerson Schools will join together for the annual welcome back potluck dinner and celebration at Campo del Sol migrant camp in Davis. This fun family event is scheduled for All food is welcome (appetizers, salads, main or dessert)! Volunteers are needed to help with event-specific tasks (welcom-ing, set-up and decorating). A word about donations: this year, we will have volunteers on hand at the pic-nic to receive donations of gently used household items, clothing and books for residents of the camp. We are asking that folks bring donations directly to the event. Additionally, you may wish to contribute to a special gift this year pre-sented to the camp by our schools: we will be donating a storage box for out-door play items to leave with the kids. If you can help us fill it with balls, jump ropes, Frisbees and the like, please deliver your items ahead of time to one the collection box in the MPR at CCE.
