Bi-annual Art Fair for all grades.

Children will be creating three large projects: making 1000 origami cranes (for good luck), a chalk mural, and a large scale environmental art project. To make this happen, we need volunteers.

On the day of the Art Fair, a few parents are needed to help demonstrate the different steps in the origami crane project and to string together the cranes. Ruth Santer needs help collecting materials and guiding the children in creating an environmental sculpture made of natural objects like sticks, rocks and leaves. The chalk project needs volunteers to make sure chalk colors are shared, demonstrate how to smudge the chalk with a sponge and help with hand washing. We will also be sending out classroom sign-up sheets for parent escorts.

With the prospect of the arts declining in our schools, this fair provides a welcome chance for children and parents to experience and support the creative world of art.
