Spelling Bee
The schoolwide spelling bee champion then advances to the regional competition of the Scripps Howard Spelling Bee, sponsored locally by the Sacramento Bee.
Before the Holidays in December, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students hold classroom spelling bees. Immediately upon return the first week of January, classroom winners participate in a schoolwide bee.
