The Davis Astronomy Club at Explorit

Program: Exploring the Moon

Since we sent you email announcing June happenings at Explorit, a new program has been added to the calendar. The Davis Astronomy Club at Explorit will present a free program called “Exploring the Moon” at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 23. Its focus will be the planet’s geography and as well as past and future NASA explorations. Afterward, there will be opportunities for telescope and binocular viewing if the night is clear. The program, designed for all ages, will take place at Explorit Science Center’s Mace Park Branch, 3141 Fifth St. in Davis. Club member Ed Olkowski will lead the program, which will include a heads-up about what’s happening in the sky this summer.
