Emerson, Da Vinci, and Harper Jr. High Combined Orchestra Program

The Emerson-Harper Combined Junior High Orchestra Program consists of  students from Emerson, Da Vinci, and Harper Junior High Schools in Davis, California. The Intermediate Orchestra is made up from students in the 7th Grade and the Advanced Orchestra consists of 8th and 9th Graders.

Members from each orchestra have daily classes at their home school and all major performances and events involve students from all three schools, combined as one orchestra. The Emerson-Harper Orchestras perform under the direction of Greg Brucker

The 2014-15 Fall Instrument Donation Campaign has begun!

Unfortunately, the only money our program receives to help pay for repairs, new instruments, and supplies comes from our great families and supporters (you!). Each year, DSOMA asks families of students who are using a school to help us out by donating money to help cover the costs of instrument upkeep. The forms can be located here: Please return forms and donations to class as soon as possible.

Mr. Brucker and DSOMA thank you for your continued great support of the orchestra program! It is with great thanks to you that we are able to provide instruments and equipment for all students (which total over 170 this year!)

Please note: there is no requirement for donation in order to use any school orchestra equipment or take part in any orchestra events. All students will have their orchestra needs provided for by Mr. Brucker and DSOMA regardless of a family's ability to donate toward the instrument upkeep fund.

Questions? Please email Mr. Brucker at or DSOMA President, Shelli Porterfield at
