Since Charlotte's Web was published 60 years ago, it has been a classic well-loved children's book.

This story of the young pig Wilbur and Charlotte the wise, kind spider was written for children. But its many scientifically accurate observations about animals, especially Charlotte the spider, make their behavior and personalities totally believable.

Not only is Charlotte's Web a masterpiece of writing, but the illustrations by Garth Williams are also spectacular.

 

E. B. White, one of the most beloved American authors of all time, is best-known for Charlotte’s Web.
