Create E-Mail Links?
Up to table of contentsI'd like to create a 'hot' e-mail link for our website http://groups.dcn.org/oursite/ - the kind of email address that automatically starts up an e-mail program. Is this possible using the SimpleSite 2.0 software?
Yes, this is possible. You just create an external link with the format:
mailto:msmosaic@dcn.org
rather than the format that would link to a web page (e.g., http://www.dcn.org/).
There's a great video tutorial on this subject at:
http://learnplone.onenw.org/documentation/video/creating-email-links
It's about two minutes of viewing.

I'm seeing the same freeze, and will let the source know about it.
Meanwhile, just select the text to link, click on the world icon (external link) and use a "mailto:address@host.com" format for the link destination.

Yup that's what I did and it seems to work fine. Thanks for the speedy reply. FYI, you can email me directly at edale43@sbcglobal.net. Evelyn
Email setup
The E-mail video link does not work on my Mac. It begins the video and then freezes.
How do you use SimpleSite to provide clickable email addresses that open an email window when clicked?
