Progress Ranch

for boys 6-15

In operation since 1976, Progress Ranch is a home for boys between the ages of 6 and 15. Our facility has six beds. We are located in a residential neighborhood in the city of Davis, and boys are eligible to attend Davis public schools.

We strive for the following outcomes for our boys:

Health and well-being
Confidence and social skills
An optimistic and hopeful outlook
A capacity for meaningful relationships.

We work to achieve these outcomes by

providing a nurturing home environment,
being involved in a supportive community,
emphasizing education,
offering individual and family therapy.

We have a new house!
Second house

For now, serving the same clientele.

If you can help us out with some furnishing or supplies (some are small items) see Giftster for a list of needed items.

Our Executive Director, Wendi Counta, a long-time Davis resident, has over twenty years of experience working with children. She was the Residential Director at Families First for the fifteen years. Her educational background is in Human Services management. She has been at Progress Ranch since 2012.

The Board of Directors is comprised of local residents who recognize the need for caring, community-based programs for children at risk. They meet monthly in Davis. A packet of material to describe board service opportunities is available upon request.
