Central Park Gardens features seven themed gardens with a variety of California native, wildlife attracting, drought tolerant, and edible plantings.  The plantings are complemented by a growing collection of public art. 

A community effort has been underway since spring of 2006 to bring new life to Central Park Gardens.  What started with a handful of UC Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteers as a simple idea to renovate the gardens in Davis Central Park has grown into an exciting community project with multiple partner groups and widespread community recognition.  The gardens are managed by a volunteer board of directors.
