Davis Sunrise Rotary builds new Meadow path
On November 8th, the Davis Sunrise Rotary Club came to our aid once
again to help us build a brand new pathway. The pathway runs
through the Meadow that connects the south side of the gardens to the
north side. We had many Rotary members come to help including a
few young future members! The path itself was constructed using a
gravel base with decomposed granite on top. The sides of the path
are lined with Trex just like the paths in the Rose & Flower
Garden. Eventually, the goal is to line all the pathways with
Trex and to create and augment new pathways that will connect the
entire length of the gardens. Finally, Mayor Pro Tem Don Saylor
came by to do a seat-of-your-pants inauguration, Davis-style!
Thanks to all the Rotary members and kids who participated in making
the pathway a success! Special thanks goes to Gregg Herrington,
Rick Stromberg, and Bob Stephenson for helping to organize this
volunteer project.
