Central Park Gardens Project Coordinator Emily Griswold has received the 2008 Environmental Recognition Award in the Individual Category from the City of Davis in recognition of her volunteer service for the gardens.  She was nominated last fall by the Central Park Gardens Steering Committee, and since she didn't know she had been nominated, she was very surprised to win!  The recognition ceremony was held at the Community Chambers where three award recipients were honored.  Mayor Sue Greenwald presented the award to Emily and also read a proclamation in recognition of the Central Park Gardens project and all our volunteers.
