New Planting Begins Meadow Transformation

New Planting Begins Meadow Transformation

A young volunteer helps transform the meadow

On March 31st, 2007, we had our first garden planting day to coincide with the Cesar Chavez celebration in Central Park.  It was a beautiful day and we had a very large turnout!  With help from adult and children volunteers, we were able to plant almost all of our grass plugs and various other plants for the Meadow section in the first hour of our two hour planting.  It was a great success and we hope to get even more people out there for our future plantings.  Thank you to all who participated, we hope to see you again!  If you are interested in joining the fun, please consider subscribing to our volunteer email list.
