Al Smith letter on Westlake Plaza grocery stores

Just prior to his death in early 2008, Stonegate developer Al Smith wrote a letter to the Davis City Council strongly disputing the notion that a grocery store cannot be successful at the Westlake Shopping Center. He was speaking from experience, having operated a profitable store at the center himself.
