Welcome. We are parents commited to hosting substance-free parties for teens and educating others about the realities of drug and alcohol use by youth.

Davis Parents Do seeks to educate parents and guardians of Davis teens about the realities of drug and alcohol use by our youth. We believe if adults understand the prevalence and dangers of teens getting high, adults will be more likely to take steps to prevent drug and alcohol use by Davis teens. Therefore, we challenge parents to take the following pledge.

I/We Pledge -

  1. To host only alcohol-free, tobacco-free and drug-free parties for teens
  2. To discourage teens from consuming alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in our homes; and
  3. To discourage our teens from attending unsupervised parties.

A letter went home in the back-to-school packet of every student at a DJUSD secondary school.

Click here to read the letter.

That letter asks parents and guardians to sign the pledge stated above.  Davis Parents Do has begun to list the name of every parent who has signed this pledge, so that when deciding if your teen can attend an event in another family’s home, you can see whether that family is committed to preventing alcohol- and drug-use. Please go to the Parents who have pledged page on this website to see the parents who have already pledged.

In the months ahead, we will continue to update our website with names of parents pledging, with ideas for managing the issue of teen parties, and more.  Click on the Pledge NOW to Pledge online NOW! Bookmark our website so you can visit often!

Davis Parents Do is part of the Secondary Schools PTA Parent Education Committee—supported by Davis High School PTA, Da Vinci Academy Parent Boosters, Emerson Junior High School PTA, Harper Junior High School PTO, and Holmes Junior High School PTA.
