How you can help

Our volunteer, supply and other needs to keep our garden going strong.

How you can volunteer your time

Contact the Garden Coordinator through the current PTA board at: http://www.ndepta.com/pta-board-and-committee

During school

Teachers who garden need "Garden Parents" to take classes outdoors and help them participate in the garden lessons.  Ask your teacher if they need help with garden lessons or if they would like to start garden lessons.

If you would like to volunteer for maintenance work in the gardens or compost area, please contact the Garden Coordinator for specific tasks that can be done on a one-time or repeating basis.

After school

You can arrange with the garden coordinator to volunteer for maintenance work before or after school or on the weekends. Bring the whole family--kids are encouraged to help too! Tasks can be a one time need or can be a repeating job.

Supply needs

Do you have old tools in safe condition that you no longer use?  We can always use small hand tools such as pruners, trowels or small rakes and brooms.

We also sometimes have a use for craft items such as fabric pieces, ribbon, markers, etc.

We regularly use items such as wood chips for mulch, potting soil, seeds, straw bales, plant starts.
