The forum takes place  at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Blanchard Room at the Mary L. Stephens Branch Library, 315 14th St., Davis. The event is free and open to the public.

Voter approval of Proposition 1 – the Water Quality, Supply and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 - would authorize $7.12 billion in general obligation bonds to keep California’s water supply safe and reliable from earthquakes and droughts.

Proposition 2 – the Rainy Day Budget Stabilization Fund Act – would require the state to annually set aside 1.5% of general fund revenues and spikes in capital gains-related taxes to both pay down debt and protect schools and public safety services from budget cuts in future recessions.

Saving California Communities is a group of Yolo community members who join forces to advocate for effective state and local governance.  This group brings together county, city and school elected representatives, educators, parents, students, health professionals, university and community college representatives, senior citizens and business owners.
