Hike (2B), Cache Creek Canyons
This hike will take us through and across picturesque canyons and ridges above Cache Creek. En route we will visit the former Payne Ranch and historic Road Kill Café. Experience splendid oak-grasslands habitat and vistas. The hike is approximately 7 miles with 1100’ cumulative elevation gain. There is an easy river ford, calf deep.
Bring lunch, water, and essentials. No dogs. Rain cancels.
Meet at 9:15 at the Guinda post office on Hwy 16 in Capay Valley west of Woodland.

Canyon Keeper’s - public hike
Olmstead Loop/Pond
We’ll enjoy a nice approx 5 mile loop hike off the southern section of the larger Olmstead loop. Our loop will take us through predominantly blue oak woodlands and around one of the larger ponds. The trail may be muddy in spots if recent rains.
Bring lunch, water, and essentials. No dogs. Rain cancels.

Wednesday, November 19 Hike
Hike (1A) Monroe Ridge and Monument Trail
Hike a loop up to the Marshall Monument in Coloma and then back down to the American River and the 1848 gold discovery site. Plan on spending some time, after the hike, enjoying lunch near the river. You may want to explore the museum and shops on your own, if they are open.
Bring Money for state parking fee, as well as lunch, water, and essentials. No dogs. Rain cancels.
Meet at Burger King in Auburn at 9:30 am or in front of Gold Discovery State Park Museum in Coloma at 10 am.

Day Hike (2B) Mitchell Canyon, Mt. Diablo
On the north side of Mt. Diablo outside Clayton we will climb up Mitchell Canyon to Deer Flat and return by Meridian Ridge Road and Back Creek Canyon. Experience breathtaking views. The hike is approximately 8 miles with an elevation gain of about 1500’. Truly breathtaking.
Bring lunch, water, and essentials, and be prepared for possible mud. No dogs. Rain cancels.
Meet at 8:30 am at the Davis Park and Ride behind Ikedas Fruit Stand off I-80 at Mace Blvd. in Davis.

Canyon Keepers Hike – open to public
Day Hike (1A) Bridge View – Stagecoach – Mossy Rock Loop
This short approximately 3 mile loop with an elevation change of +/- 600 ft offers a variety of scenery, views and different types of trails. It starts out on the wide, sunny Bridgeview Trail, joins the historic Stagecoach Trail for a short way, then transitions to the shadier and narrower Flood and Mossy Rock Trails before returning to the top of Bridgeview. This pleasant, not too strenuous, outing offers nice views of the entire Confluence Area and a unique perspective on the Foresthill Bridge.
