Davis Pioneer Profiled in the Davis Enterprise

In his column of April 15, 2009, Rich Rifkin profiles Davis pioneer Matthew Clancy, builder of what is now known as "The Clancy House" at the southwest corner of Second and C streets.

Rifkin reports that Mr. Clancy had farmed in the area several decades before he built that house at age 71 in 1913 and that the structure was the fruit of a life of hard work. The article is reproduced in Folder 2.4, to the left
