Listen to Little College Town (download time will depend on your connection)

The asphalt’s slowly baking in the August heat
In the distance there’s an ice-cream truck, jangling down the street
Russell Boulevard is quiet when the students aren’t around
And it’s summer in our little college town

The diner’s looking empty, and the air is still
At the movie-house, all the velvet seats are waiting to be filled
And those of us who live here, can park again downtown
‘Cause it’s summer in our little college town

Bridge:

And I wasn’t even born here
But I feel like I belong
All the bicycles, the recycling
And the way that the horizon just goes on and on and on and on and on

From the backyards down the block, there comes a smoky smell
And a crescent moon is rising over purple coastal hills
And I’m thinking of September as the day is winding down
It’s still summer in our little college town
Yeah it’s summer in our little college town
