In Kindergarten it was possible to become friends with anyone. But out of all the people in North Davis Elementary school, Malerie was my best friend. We met on the first day of kindergarten, I remember walking into the room, and I saw her. We talked and played soon enough we were making play dates and hanging out. We did everything together, dress up, soccer, birthday parties, and playing with our Barbie’s. Our favorite thing though was riding in her red and green wagon. She would pull me to North Star Park and we would play. That would always be really fun. School was our number one hangout spot. From class to recess, the fun never stopped. When we had to go home from school, we would give each other a hug goodbye. One day she presented me with a beat. The bear was red and had a heart on it. She had a bear too. Hers was white with a heart. Every one or two weeks we would switch bears. And till this very day I still have my very special bear. Malerie is still one of my best friends. We are very close and I hope we stay close forever. She is the best friends anyone could ask for.
