Zoom a car goes by
Riding home from school
Its hot, hot, hotter than
Hot, its flaming, its flaming
Water, water, need a drink
Uh oh, I’m sweating like
A bug in a 100 degree toaster
Oven, the hair in my pony tail
Bobbing behind my head,
Smash it hits my head (face)
The wind is pushing it closer,
Closer then … Crash! I sit
Looking up, all the way up
To the trees, bring, bring
My cell phone rings, I answer
Its my mom, I tell her to
Come pick me up, she comes
I get home and lie down on
My bed, unable to move
And that’s how I got home
From school.
