Now there is a calling
From the heart,
Your tour of Davis is
About to start
The location of Davis is
Greater than any
Because of the crystal range,
You may see
From the duck pond
Of which, I am very fond
In North Davis
On a clear, clear day.
On to East Davis,
Where wild horse is
And Nugget where you can
Buy stuff with fizz
Sliding at the concrete slide
Is a whole lot of fun
Same with playing at Manor Pool
In the sun
Around to South Davis
On the compass point
Where with all the playgrounds
There is numerous swinging joints
Soccer fields
And car wheels
The batting cage
Is a baseball arcade
Bike over the freeway
See the tomatoes in the bend
With all the cars
It will be there end
In Village Homes
And the domes
There is the spirit
Of West Davis
From central Davis
Davis’ heart
I have carried you
To finish from the start
A song a departing
Song,
At the
Mondori
To remember Davis
Tomatoes rolling
in the bend
along comes a car
and squashes them
pitter patter
tomato juice
roll a hot dog through
the sluice
let it cook in the
hot, hot sun
then eat it and remember the fun
there you have it
and I hope your dreams
(like a candle)
Davis lit!!!
