Hike (2A) Mt. Tamalpais Ridge Trail
This lovely hike contours around Mt. Tam through lush forest and open grassland, then ascends Cataract Creek to vistas overlooking the Bay and distant SF. The loop is about 7 miles with about 800’ elevation gain.
Bring lunch, water, and other essentials.
Meet at 8:15 am at the Davis Park and Ride behind Ikedas Fruit Stand off I-80 at Mace Blvd. in Davis. No dogs. Rain cancels.

Hike (2B) Caples Creek/Silver Fork loop, Crystal Basin
In the Crystal Basin area south of Kyburz, we will ascend Caples Creek to Government Meadow, ford the river, climb over a modest ridge and descend Silver Fork back to cars. Be prepared for knee-high sandy river ford. The hike is approximately 8 miles with 1200’ cumulative elevation gain.
Bring lunch, water, and essentials.
Meet at 9 am at the McDonalds on Broadway in Placerville (Broadway exit off Hwy 50 past signals). No dogs. Rain cancels.

Hike (1A) PG&E Trail
This approx 4 mile one way hike, down the canyon, offers many unique views of both past and current quarrying operations along the Middle Fork American River. There are also several nice views up the Middle Fork American River.
Bring lunch, water and essentials.
Meet at the Quarry Parking Lot, (State parking fee or pass required.) on the left off Hwy 49 just past the Hwy 49 bridge below Auburn at 9:30 am. We will shuttle from there to the upper trailhead starting point. No dogs. Rain cancels.

Hike (1A) and Museum Visit, Walnut Creek
Bring a bag lunch and join us for a visit to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, a unique natural history and environmental education center that rehabilitates wild animals for release. Entrance fee: $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors. We will eat first in a park next to the museum then see the exhibits and watch an animal examination through a one-way glass at 2:00 pm. If we have time, we will take a short walk on the Mt. Diablo to Briones trail that goes past the museum.
Limited to 16. No dogs. Rain does not cancel, so dress accordingly.

Canyon Keepers Hike (1A) Foresthill Divide Loop
Hike the approx 5-mile loop off the western section of the larger Foresthill Loop trail. Hike will cross Foresthill Road offering views on both sides of the divide.
Bring lunch, water, $ for parking fee or state parking pass and essentials. No dogs. Rain cancels.
Meet in Auburn at Burger King, on Lincoln Way at Foresthill Exit off I-80 at 9:30 am.
