Hike (1A). Bassi Falls
Given the heavy snow pack the falls should be gushing spectacularly. And wildflowers may be abundant. For a really cool adventure we can swim in the pools below the falls. We hike a loop from near Union Valley Reservoir, up through the forest and back along the stream. The hike is about 5 miles with about 500 ft. elevation gain. Bring lunch, water, and essentials. Hike (1A). Sagehen Creek
This is a pleasant, easy hike north of Truckee. We’ll walk along Sagehen Creek, going from Highway 89 to Stampede Reservoir, about 5 miles round-trip. This time of year, we should see plenty of wildflowers. Bring lunch, water and rain gear in case of showers. Meet at Burger King, on Lincoln Way at Foresthill Exit off I-80 near Auburn at 9:00 a.m. Leader: Chris Fox fox_chris@att.net.

Hike (1A). Sugar Pine Reservoir
Enjoy a pleasant stroll of approx. 4.5 miles around Sugar Pine Reservoir. Part of the trail is paved. Hike offers many nice views of the lake from various angles. Plan on spending an hour at the lake in mid hike. Have lunch, water, and $$ for Forest Service parking fee or National Parks Pass /Golden age/Senior pass. No dogs. Rain cancels. Hike (1A). Fuller Lake to Lang’s Crossing
We’ll hike from Fuller Lake to Lang’s Crossing off Bowman Road. This short, approx. 4 miles, route drops from Fuller Lake about 900 ft until we arrive at the Yuba River, where we can cool off our feet and enjoy the river views. Bring lunch, water, & essentials. Hike (2B). Caples Creek/Silver Fork (Yolano Group)
In the Crystal Basin area southwest of Kyburz, we will ascend Caples Creek to Government Meadow, ford the river, climb over a modest ridge, and descend Silver Fork back to cars. Be prepared for thigh-high, sandy river ford. The hike is approximately 8 miles with 1200 ft. cumulative elevation gain. Bring lunch, water, and essentials.
