Hike (1A). Jenkinson Lake 

 This out-and-back route along Jenkinson Lake near Pollock Pines is a pleasant hike along the shoreline; total distance is about 6.5 miles. Bring lunch, water, and essentials. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the McDonalds on Broadway in Placerville (Broadway exit off Hwy 50). If there is snow on the Jenkinson Lake trail, we will hike a (6 mile RT) section of the El Dorado trail in Placerville. No dogs. Rain cancels. Leader: Chris Fox fox_chris@att.net or 916-918-9510.

Hike (2A).  Zim Zim Falls, Berryessa Snow Mountain NM

Explore a corner of Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument by hiking to beautiful Zim Zim waterfall. The hike is a moderate 7-mile out and back amble up pretty Zim Zim canyon to the 100-ft+ cascade. Be prepared to get your feet wet with 8 creek crossings on the way to the falls. Hike (2A).   Redwood Regional Park, Oakland (Yolano Group)

 Redwood Regional Park in the hills between Oakland and Moraga offers scenic beauty and tranquility just blocks from urban congestion.  We’ll hike 7 miles along West Ridge Trail, down to a lovely picnic area, and back through beautiful redwood groves.  Expect an approximately 600-foot elevation gain and possible mud.  Bring lunch, water, and essentials.  Meet at 8:30 am at the Davis Park and Ride behind Ikedas Fruit Stand off I-80 at Mace Blvd in Davis.  No dogs.  Rain cancels.  Leader:  Jim Cramer, 530-756-3973 or cramerjc@gmail.com.
