Saturday, September 2
Hike (2B).  Maud Lake (Yolano Group)

From near Wrights Lake off Hwy 50 we follow the Rockbound Pass Trail up, down, and around to shallow but picturesque Maud Lake.  The Rockbound Pass cirque rises spectacularly over our lunch and swim site there.  We then retrace our route.  The hike is approximately 8.5 miles with 1100’ cumulative elevation gain.  Bring lunch, water, and essentials. No dogs.  Rain cancels.  Hike limited to 10.

Wednesday, September 6
Hike (1B). Mount Judah

Starting out along the Pacific Crest Trail south from Donner Pass, we’ll hike the Mt Judah Loop. We’ll make a stop at historic Roller Pass on the way, and a short optional side-trip to Donner Peak after the summit. Up to 6 miles with a total 1,700ft elevation gain. We will see spectacular views and late season wildflowers. Bring lunch, water and essentials. No dogs. Rain cancels. Meet at Burger King, on Lincoln way at Foresthill Exit off I-80 near Auburn at 9:00 a.m.

Wednesday, September 13
Hike (1A). Little Bald Mt. Loop

Hike starts at Robinson Flat campgrounds.  We’ll hike up to the ridge via a series of switchbacks (approx. 600 ft. elevation gain) and have lunch at the top while enjoying the awesome 360-degree views of the Sierra Nevadas.  Trail down provides a nice hike through the woods.  Hike is approx. 4 miles round trip.  Have lunch, plenty of water and rain gear in case of afternoon showers.  Rain cancels. No dogs.  Meet in Auburn at Burger King, on Lincoln Way at Foresthill Exit off I-80 at 9:00 a.m.

Tuesday, September 26
Hike (2B). Island Lake

From Wrights Lake we will climb through forest and over granite slabs to Twin Lakes and Island Lake.  Thrill to the adventure of route finding on granite slabs.  Swimming is excellent at both lakes.  The hike is about 6 miles with approximately 1100’ elevation gain.  Bring lunch, water, and essentials. No dogs.  Rain cancels.  Hike limited to 10.
